Shondiz Mediterranean Restaurant first opened its doors in 2009—right in the middle of one of the toughest periods the restaurant industry had ever seen. While many restaurants were closing, our founder Mohammad Esmaeili believed that people still deserved authentic, high-quality Mediterranean and Persian food served with honesty, value, and genuine hospitality.

Guided by a lifelong passion for cooking and the traditional flavors of his Iranian heritage, Mohammad created Shondiz as a place where guests could enjoy the best of Persian, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern cuisine in the heart of the Denver Tech Center.

From our flame-grilled koobideh, joojeh, and barg kabobs, to our slow-simmered stews like Fesenjoon and Gheymeh, to refreshing favorites such as Shirazi salad, Mast-o-Khiar, and house-made appetizers, every dish is crafted with fresh, premium ingredients and time-honored techniques.
